Many businesses operating in Thailand find the task of keeping accurate accounts and filing statutory monthly returns to the Thai authorities a time-consuming and onerous task that hinders staff productivity. Our monthly book-keeping and returns service removes this burden from our clients, and ensures that they stay on the right side of the law. In addition to the requirement to keep accurate accounts, companies must file three returns every month to the Thai authorities.

Value Added Tax Returns
Those companies who are VAT-registered must file a return to the tax office within fifteen days of the end of the previous month's business activities. Note that if your company turns over less than B1.2 million per annum, there is no need to register for VAT, but if your company needs to apply for a work permit for a foreign national, the work permit regulations require VAT registration and the filing of monthly returns.

Withholding Tax Returns
Certain types of income paid to companies are subject to Withholding Tax at source. Withholding tax rates depend on the types of income and the tax status of the recipient. Companies who are collecting Withholding Tax are required to file a return and submit the revenues collected within seven days of the following month in which the payment is made. Text

Employees Social Fund Payments
Any business entity that employs staff, apart from sole proprietorships and partnerships, are required to register their employees with the Social Fund Office in the district where the company is registered. For all salaried employees, companies are required to withhold 5% from salaries to a maximum of B15,000 per month, and the employer must submit that amount, plus a matching amount, to the local social fund office within fifteen days of the payment of salaries.

Our accounting staff can also produce standard or bespoke monthly or quarterly reports that will clearly explain your company's financial performance, point out where excessive expenditure is occurring and recommend remedies.
